HISTORY

In 1988, St. Lawrence Parish began planning for a much-needed center to house
various ministry programs, parish and school events, wedding receptions, private functions, and meeting facilities.

On June 21, 1992 construction began, and in January of 1994, the completed building was named Higgins Hall, dedicated to the parish's founding pastor, Monsignor Laurence Higgins.  Msgr. Higgins retired as
pastor in July of 2007. Upon his retirement, Fr. Tom Morgan was chosen to be the second pastor of the Parish.  Most recently, 2015 has brought the Parish a third pastor, Monsignor Michael Muhr.

Conveniently close to Downtown Tampa, Ybor City, Tampa International Airport, and the Buccaneers and Yankee Stadiums, Higgins Hall is located in the heart of Tampa.  Our timeless building is suited to all events while delivering first class service.  The exterior is modern, while the interior is inviting and elegant with hardwood floors and
large windows.  The East side of the building offers a unique outdoor patio with multiple fountains and foliage perfect for additional entertaining.
